Pre-application consulting
Contact your liaison officer or the Secretariat at greenlabel@sec.org.sg to make an initial enquiry. Browse the Product Categories page to get an initial sense of whether your product may be eligible.
Suitability assessment
The Secretariat assesses whether your product can be certified under any existing SGLS product category and provides the relevant requirements document if eligible.
Review the requirements document carefully before arranging any testing — this ensures your test reports cover everything required.
Prepare supporting documents
- Duly completed application form — contact the Secretariat for the template
- Detailed product description, composition and manufacturing process — dated and signed by the Technical Director or Manager
- Test reports from nationally accredited third-party test laboratories, in accordance with the relevant SGLS requirements
- Declaration letter signed by CEO, President, Managing Director or equivalent — contact the Secretariat for the template
- Product photographs
- Any additional documentation specified in the requirements
Submit your application
Send your completed application form and all supporting documents to your liaison officer or the Secretariat. All test results must pass the stated requirements before submitting.
Receive quotation, sign & pay
We will issue a quotation for S$3,500 + 9% GST per product. Sign and return the quotation. An invoice will then be issued — payment must be made upon receipt of the invoice.
Assessment by the certification team
The certification team reviews your application and notifies you of the outcome. If any clarification or additional documentation is required, they will contact you directly. Choose your processing speed:
Certificate issued
On approval, the Singapore Green Label certificate — valid for 2 years — is issued and sent to you by email. You may then use the Green Label logo on your product in accordance with the Logo Usage Guidelines. The applicant must comply with the terms and conditions of the User Agreement.
During the certification period — random audits
Random audits are conducted on certified products throughout the 2-year certification period to ensure continued compliance with SGLS criteria. Cooperation with all audit requests is a condition of maintaining certification.
