About the Singapore Green Labelling Scheme

The Singapore Green Labelling Scheme (SGLS) is Singapore's only ISO 14024 Type 1 ecolabel, certifying products across nine major categories. Launched by the Ministry of the Environment in 1992 and administered by the Singapore Environment Council since 1999, it is independently verified against the international standard for Type 1 ecolabels

Products across all nine categories are evaluated against environmental standards covering their full life cycle. Food, beverages, and pharmaceuticals are excluded. Certified products gain a competitive advantage in local and regional procurement.
