Submit your renewal application 2 to 3 months before your expiry date to ensure uninterrupted use of the Singapore Green Label. The absolute latest deadline is 30 days before expiry.
30 daysbefore expiry — absolute latest deadline for renewal
After expiryrenewal possible within 90 days, treated as new after that
The online renewal portal is currently unavailable. Submit all renewal applications by email to greenlabel@sec.org.sg. The Secretariat will confirm receipt and provide the renewal application form.
What you need to renew
Gather these documents before submitting your renewal application:
A declaration letter confirming any changes to the product or manufacturing process — or confirming that no changes have been made since the original certification. The letter must be signed by the CEO, President, Managing Director or equivalent.
Valid ISO certificate from the manufacturer
Valid test reports from nationally accredited third-party test laboratories
Need templates for the declaration letter or renewal application form? Contact the Secretariat at greenlabel@sec.org.sg and we will provide the relevant templates.
Test reports are valid for up to 5 years from their date of issue. You do not need to retest every two years unless specifically required by the Secretariat or because the criteria have been revised.
What happens at each stage
✓ Application submitted 2–3 months before expiry (recommended)
Sufficient time for assessment to complete before expiry. Certification continues uninterrupted. This is the recommended approach.
⚠ Application submitted less than 30 days before expiry
Renewal may not complete in time. The Secretariat will advise on next steps. Remove the logo immediately on the expiry date if certification lapses.
⚠ Application submitted after expiry — within 90 days
Late renewal is possible. A second invoice will be issued for the fee difference between the renewal fee and the new application fee. The logo must have been removed from the expiry date.
✗ Application submitted more than 90 days after expiry
The application is treated as a new application and the full new application fee (S$3,500 per product) applies.
Logo removal obligation: If a renewal application has not been lodged at least 30 days before the expiry date, the Singapore Green Label logo must be removed from all products, packaging, and marketing materials immediately upon the certificate expiry date. If physical removal from existing stock is not possible on the expiry date, contact the Secretariat to provide a declaration of remaining inventory.
Revised criteria at renewal
If the product criteria for your category have been revised since your last certification, your product must meet the revised criteria at the point of renewal. The Secretariat will advise whether additional testing is required when you submit your renewal application.
