Scope of certification
This standard establishes criteria for products containing palm oil or its derivatives, covering food products (e.g. chocolate, biscuits, snack foods, instant noodles, ice cream) and non-food products (e.g. soaps, shampoos, personal care products, laundry and kitchen products).
Key requirements
- Product must demonstrate minimum quality and fitness for intended purpose
- RSPO membership required — applicant must be a member of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil
- RSPO-certified palm oil supply chain required; annual ACOP report submitted to RSPO
- No palm oil sourced from High Conservation Value (HCV) areas or High Carbon Stock (HCS) forests
