Products that contain Palm Oil

This standard establishes criteria for products containing palm oil or its derivatives, covering food products (e.g. chocolate, biscuits, snack foods, instant noodles, ice cream) and non-food products (e.g. soaps, shampoos, personal care products, laundry and kitchen products).

Key requirements

  • Product must demonstrate minimum quality and fitness for intended purpose
  • RSPO membership required — applicant must be a member of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil
  • RSPO-certified palm oil supply chain required; annual ACOP report submitted to RSPO
  • No palm oil sourced from High Conservation Value (HCV) areas or High Carbon Stock (HCS) forests
