Scope of certification
This standard establishes criteria for pipes and fittings for industrial and residential use, covering PVC (including chlorinated and unplasticised), copper, stainless steel, brass alloys, and pipes with synthetic coatings. Cement, lead, PEX, HDPE, fibreglass, ABS and polybutylene pipes are excluded.
Key requirements
- Environmental management system in place (ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 or equivalent)
- No carcinogens, mutagens or reproductive toxins; no heavy metals above defined limits
- No halogenated organic compounds
- Product must meet relevant performance and dimensional standards for intended application
