Scope of certification
This standard establishes environmental, performance and health criteria for personal computers including desktops, laptops, tablets and handheld PCs.
Key requirements
- Environmental management system in place (ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 or equivalent)
- No carcinogens, mutagens or reproductive toxins; no heavy metals above defined limits
- No halogenated hydrocarbons or halogenated polymers (PVC) in manufacture
- No CFCs or ozone-depleting substances
