Industrial and Institutional Cleaners
Scope of certification
This standard covers industrial and institutional general purpose, bathroom and glass cleaners for routine cleaning of offices, institutions, warehouses and industrial facilities. Household use, food preparation and medical facility products are excluded.
Key requirements
- Environmental management system in place (ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 or equivalent)
- No carcinogens, mutagens, endocrine disruptors or teratogens; no heavy metals above defined limits
- No prohibited solvents (cyclohexanone, hexane, methanol, chlorinated hydrocarbons)
- No alkylphenols or related emulsifiers
