This standard covers hot water storage tanks including thermal solar systems, water heating installations and storage water heaters for drinking water.
Key requirements
- Environmental management system in place (ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 or equivalent)
- No carcinogens, mutagens or reproductive toxins; no heavy metals in water-contact materials
- Energy efficiency — standing heat loss within defined limits
- Safety devices required (temperature and pressure relief valve)
