Scope of certification
This standard establishes criteria for hairspray, hair gel and hair mousse, including prerequisites on toxicity and prohibition of CFCs and HCFCs.
Key requirements
- Environmental management system in place (ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 or equivalent)
- No carcinogens, mutagens or reproductive toxins; no heavy metals above defined limits
- No CFCs or HCFCs — no ozone-depleting propellants or ingredients
- VOC content within defined limits for aerosol formats
