Scope of certification
This standard applies to a range of floor coverings and carpet underlays laid on top of a concrete or wooden beam foundation, not forming part of the building structure. It covers timber and natural materials, polymers and plastics, engineered wood products, and resilient flooring.
Key requirements
- Environmental management system in place (ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 or equivalent)
- No carcinogens, mutagens or reproductive toxins; no heavy metals above defined limits
- No halogenated organic compounds above defined limits
- No phthalates above defined limits in PVC and polymer flooring
