Scope of certification
This standard establishes criteria for floor cleaners intended for household use, based on environmental, performance and health parameters, including reduced toxicity and minimised resource use across the product life cycle.
Key requirements
- Environmental management system in place (ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 or equivalent)
- No carcinogens, mutagens or endocrine disruptors (including phthalates); no heavy metals above defined limits
- No phosphonates, EDTA, NTA, DTPA or halogenated hydrocarbons
- Total phosphorus, chemical dyes, pH and VOC content within defined limits
