This standard establishes criteria for electric kettles for household use.
Key requirements
- Environmental management system in place (ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 or equivalent)
- No carcinogens, mutagens or reproductive toxins; no heavy metals in water-contact materials
- No CFCs or ozone-depleting substances
- Energy efficiency requirements met; automatic switch-off at boiling required
