Scope of certification
This standard establishes grading criteria for doors used in residential and commercial settings. Accessories including knobs, hinges, jambs and bolts are included. The standard applies to sliding, folding, hinge, French, stacker, Dutch and revolving mechanisms, as well as shutters.
Key requirements
- Environmental management system in place (ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 or equivalent)
- No carcinogens, mutagens or reproductive toxins; no heavy metals above defined limits
- No chlorine, CFCs or halogenated compounds
- Sustainably sourced timber where wood content is present (FSC, PEFC or equivalent)
