Scope of certification
This standard establishes criteria for household dishwashers that stand alone on floors or counter surfaces, including devices that combine dishwashing with other functions.
Key requirements
- Environmental management system in place (ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 or equivalent)
- No carcinogens, mutagens or reproductive toxins; no heavy metals above defined limits
- No CFCs, HCFCs or other ozone-depleting substances
- Energy and water consumption within defined limits per standard wash cycle
