Scope of certification
This standard establishes criteria for household and commercial dishwashing detergents in liquid or powder form for machine or hand washing.
Key requirements
- Environmental management system in place (ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 or equivalent)
- No carcinogens, mutagens, endocrine disruptors or teratogens; no heavy metals above defined limits
- No optical brighteners that are not readily biodegradable; no NTA, DTPA or APEOs
- Biodegradability requirements apply to all surfactants
