Scope of certification
This standard applies to polymer fibre carpets including nylon and nylon blends, olefin (polypropylene), polyester (PET), and acrylic. Products covered include modular and broadloom residential and commercial carpets, cushioning, and adhesives supplied with the product.
Key requirements
- Environmental management system in place (ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 or equivalent)
- No azo dyes that can release carcinogenic aryl amines; no sensitising dyes
- No heavy metal-based dyes or pigments above defined limits
- No halogenated flame retardants (exception: dehydrating minerals such as aluminium hydrate)
