Scope of certification
This standard establishes grading criteria for adhesives and sealants based on environmental, performance and health parameters. It covers product-specific prerequisites including low toxicity and requirements that manufacturing processes do not cause undue environmental harm.
Key requirements
- Environmental management system in place (ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 or equivalent)
- No carcinogens, mutagens, reproductive toxins or endocrine disruptors
- No heavy metals (antimony, arsenic, cadmium, chromium, copper, lead, mercury, selenium, tin)
- No aniline-based amines, aziridine compounds or alkylphenol ethoxylates (APEOs)
