The Green Label Category for Hand Soaps establishes grading criteria on environmental, health and performance parameters for commercially used

  2. cleaners.

The standard includes product specific environmental and health prerequisites, such as reduced toxicity, and minimised resource use and waste generation during the life cycle of the product.

Some of the key environmental criterion would include:

  1. Energy and Water management during production
  2. Water discharge and air emissions during production,
  3. Biodegradability of products
